Wheel & Details

Photography Now & Then #82

I’m converting a 4’ by 8’ shop table with 4” castors to two 2’ by 8’ roll-around shop benches.  The first bench is finished, using material and all four of the castors from the disassembled table including a workbench kit made of  durable heavy gauge structural resin.  For the second bench, along with another workbench kit, I had to buy four more castors and sixteen heavy duty lag screws, but was able to use recycled 2 x 4s and plywood from the table and other projects.

Arches National Park – In 1906, the log house at the Wolfe Ranch was constructed by John Wesley Wolfe replacing an earlier primitive structure. Wolfe and his family raised cattle in the area from 1888 to 1910, until they sold the ranch and moved to Ohio. Today the cabin sits next to the popular Delicate Arch Trailhead and is viewed by hundreds of hikers every day.
