Traffic & Parrot

Photography Now & Then #144

We got to the Madison, Wisconsin area around 2:30 in the afternoon.  After we were set up in the campground, we sat inside the camper – it was in the 90s – waiting for our daughter and grandkids to pick us up.  Jes needed some props for photos for a blog post – she blogs at All She Cooks, mostly recipes and travel – so we went along.  Between our trip in and her errand, we traveled this stretch of highway 3 times.  Traffic got a little backed at just one point, shown below, where workers were patching a rough area, but it wasn’t terrible for a going-home-day at the end of the three day holiday weekend that marks the beginning of the summer activities season for many.

We’ve been to the Dallas Quilt Show, held each spring, twice.  It can also be a great time to visit the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Both times we visited, tulips and many other spring flowers were at their peak.

Photography Now & Then Notes:

Series Photos

  • The Now  photo is one that is almost always taken the day of the blog post.  In some instances, posts may be backdated if internet access is not available on the day of the photo or other reasons prevent posting Photography Now and Then.
  • The Then  photo is usually a randomly selected older photograph from a batch of photos specifically “curated” for Photography Now and Then.
  • Each photo in this series is an “original work” – a copyright term – of Michael Goad.
  • Reference links were accessed on the date the blog post was published, unless otherwise stated.
  • The title convention for Photography Now & Then blog posts evolved early on from one word related to each photo separated by “&” to usually being the first word in the caption description for each photo.
