Pegboard & Oasis

Photography Now & Then #70

I took this picture while disassembling a too big roll-around work table – it was 4’ by 8’ and had two lower shelves. The material will be repurposed into two 2’ by 8’ roll-around work benches.  I haven’t decided on the under-the-bench shelving yet. Most of the time, one of the work benches will be positioned under this pegboard.

We have found most commercial campgrounds we have visited wanting when it comes to trees and other plants. Some are absolutely barren of anything green.  Others have grass and a few shade trees.

In Montana, the Great Falls KOA certainly breaks that camping stereotype, with its “an oasis of trees, flowers and gardens.”  While it was one of the better KOAs, the amount of vegetation was excessive, in our view, to the point that some of it had to be trimmed for our 5th wheel to fit into the assigned site.

For 2018, the prices are much higher than what I would like to pay. When we camped there in 2007, we were visiting family in Great Falls, but, since they no longer live there, it’s not likely we will use this KOA.
