Heading home

On the road in our Class C motorhome, 9 miles east of Barnesville on Minnesota Highway 34, June 18, 2018, heading home to Arkansas

Our motorhome is a 2008 Itasca Navion IQ.  Built by Winnebago and marketed under the Itasca brand, it is a true Class C motorhome despite not having the cab-over design that the largest majority of Class C  RVs feature.

Winnebago discontinued producing the Itasca line of motorhomes in 2018.  For many years Winnebago and Itaska motorized RVs were produced on the same line in the Winnebago plant.

When Winnebago was producing both lines, most Itasca models had a Winnebago model twin.  For instance, the Itasca cab-over Navions were siblings to the Winnebago View cab-over motor homes.

The exception to this was the Navion IQ, at least in 2008, when there was no corresponding model in the Winnebago line of motorized RVs.

For a time, the Itasca models were considered to be the more “deluxe” versions, with some features standard that would be options or upgrades on the Winnebago models.
