Clouds & Rental

Photography Now & Then #125

On my way home from getting a new mower battery from Walmart, I stopped in the road to get a photo of cumulonimbus clouds over cows in a pasture.

Our 2007 trip to the Rockies was the probably the first time I really noticed many rental motorhomes.  I knew, of course, that there were rental campers – my first “camping” trip to Colorado in 1957 with my grandparents and teenaged uncle included a small rented travel trailer as did a 1963 trip to Wyoming with my grandparents and younger sister. Until the mid 1980s, all of our camping was tent camping.  When Karen and I and our kids took our first camper camping trip, our trailer was a rental – a couple of years later we bought a used nearly identical travel trailer, our first RV.
