Split & Lyman

Photography Now & Then #149

Almost every time we visit our daughter and all in Wisconsin, we also go to the Dane County Farmers Market “Saturday on the Square.” “The Dane County Farmers’ Market is the heart of the activities on the Square. Members line the sidewalk of state capitol grounds. They sell agriculture-related, producer-only products from Wisconsin.”1

Today, there was also a vintage car show that stretch quite a few blocks along State.  Between the farmers market and the walk on State Street, we got in a little over 2 miles of walking.

Lyman Lake State Park in Arizona was an overnight stop for us along the way to southern New Mexico.  Traveling from Williams, Arizona, we had spent a good part of the day visiting Petrified Forest National Park.

“Lyman Lake State Park is a 1,200-acre park that encompasses the shoreline of a 1,500-acre reservoir at an elevation of 6,000 feet. It is fed by snowmelt from the slopes of Mount Baldy and Escudilla Mountain, the second and third highest mountains in Arizona. Water is channeled into this river valley from a 790-square-mile watershed extending into New Mexico.”2

  • The title convention for Photography Now & Then blog posts evolved early on from one word related to each photo separated by “&” to usually being the first word in the caption description for each photo.
