There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms in south Arkansas Wednesday. Damaging wind will be the main threat, but a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Our severe weather risk is less than marginal, according to the National Weather Service, which lists our risk as “Thunder.”

In May, 2007, we spent part of the 10th on the south bank of the Arkansas River.  The river was running high, but had subsided somewhat, leaving some interesting arrangements of stones and other things in the sand.
