On the edge

hat past safty barriers at Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

This hat was laying beyond the fences and walls of the trail  down to one of the overlooks at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.  Fortunately, no one was trying to retrieve it.  A few days after we were here, a tourist fell to her death further down the river, below tower falls, after she went past the walls of an overlook.

You know we saw people who did stupid things like that… I can just never understand why they would do that… DUH!!! They put those walls & fences there for a purpose. Thanks for the picture today. Hope you’re having fun!

Scary. You can get a book called Death In Yellowstone, which is about all the folk who have died – often due to their own stupidity. I really want to read it but I just hope it doesn’t put me off going there.
