During our remodeling of the sewing/computer room, our modem was relocated to the living room.  For the longest time, I couldn’t figure out why I would start to have internet problems just before supper time. It turns out that the culprit was the microwave which be in use to heat up frozen veggies for the meal.  As soon as the microwave stopped, so did the interruption in wifi.  The modem was directly behind the microwave on the other side of a 4 foot, 4 inch wall between the kitchen and living room.

Needles District

We made it to the Needles of Canyonlands National Park once, where we had a picnic and took the 2.4 mile Slickrock trail.  We also checked out the Squaw Flat campground which looked like it would be worth a stop for a night or two.

“The Needles forms the southeast corner of Canyonlands and was named for the colorful spires of Cedar Mesa Sandstone that dominate the area. Hiking trails offer many opportunities for long day hikes and overnight trips. Foot trails and four-wheel-drive roads lead to such features as Tower Ruin, Confluence Overlook, Elephant Hill, the Joint Trail, and Chesler Park.3
